I'm a Stationary Designer and a people person, so I'm going to tell you that a wedding fair is a good-'un, right, but there are more reasons behind this than you might think.

Meeting in Person
A wedding is an extraordinary thing to do; you are marrying the person you want to spend the rest of your life with and celebrating this with your closest friends and family! It's part of the reason I love working in this industry! It is just one day (or a few days sometimes) and so you want to make sure that you find suppliers that you can connect with, that get your vision, your need for perfection for this element, your sense of humour and your non-negotiables.
Flicking through Instagram, Pinterest and Google searches is a great way of researching different suppliers to use for your wedding. It's easy and can be done in the comfort of your own home, in PJs or if you can't be bothered to go outside, but finding suppliers that you can connect with is hard to do if you are only using the internet to help you. There is something about meeting a supplier in person that makes sure they are the right fit for you.

Tangibility
If you are having an informal day with lots of laughs and giggles, personal touches and fun additions, you will want something very different than if your wedding is going to be a formal affair, with hats and fascinators, classical music and set events. These are things you will want to show to your guests when they open your save the dates and invitations before the event, and the feel of the stationery is one way to do this. Being able to physically see stationery, touch the card or fabric it is printed onto, and see the colours in person is very different from looking online.

Questions
Not every wedding fits into a nice tidy box, and for many, this is the first time that they will have organised a wedding. Knowing what you need and don't, how to word something appropriately and including things that make your day easier and with less stress, isn't always easy. Having the ability to speak to wedding suppliers is therefore very important. We have been doing our jobs for years, and know the specific details that you need to know. Also, we are a community of people who know and have worked with many in the industry before and can help you find the suppliers you may be after.

This is a huge fair and includes over 100 talented wedding professionals, VIP entry, a catwalk and ability to try dress' on, and reception-styled areas.
